About Women’s Business Club

Women’s Business Club is a section of the ABW, initiated in 2006 after many of the ABW members had grown their businesses from micro-enterprises to successful companies that employ more than twenty people and have stable business activities. Specific aims of the Women’s Business Club include:

  • to bring together successful women entrepreneurs and strengthen their capacities through contacts and networking with women in managerial positions and in institutions important for the development of entrepreneurship
  • to provide more exposure for this group of business women in order to make them more recognizable in the economic life of Serbia, and more visible in the public for the purpose of representing the interests of women’s business population
  • to strengthen our negotiating position and to influence the business environment, in the first place as entrepreneurs, but also in the sphere of balance of life issues regarding business and family obligations
  • to mentor women (those who are young, or unemployed, or thinking about starting a company) who face difficulties on their path toward economic independence

Activities of the Women’s Business Club section includes monthly meetings which are comprised of presentations of women’s businesses and success stories, lectures regarding business management strategies, informal networking opportunities such as concerts, literary evenings, cultural events. Equally important activities include the organization of advocacy campaigns and humanitarian actions, as ABWs encourage corporate social responsibility among its members.
